TITLE
RSICC 'Form of Government' Committee
PURPOSE
To augment the development of the documents indexed at http://rsicc.org/Form/
YAHOOGROUPS ID
rs_form
DESCRIPTION
A publicly viewable, member-screened, committee discussion board specifically for the purpose of
debating, proposing, amending, hammering out the ideal forms of government as indexed at http://rsicc.org/Form/
It will consist of any members of RSICC who wish to be involved in
this, as well as any [qualified]
guests whose messages meet approval of the moderators as being cogent to the discussion.
We purposely WILL NOT be voting on various planks in this process, as we need to develop the entire
system before pinning things down to a vote, which is hard to undo. It is likely to take many years
before we arrive at something that is internally consistent, clear, comprehensive, void of loopholes
and which accomplishes the purpose of protecting freedom for all mankind. Anything we have posted
will be considered a work in progress. Any polls we take on wording preferences will be non-binding,
only for the purpose of drawing closer to a final consensus on the entire package.
LIST SETTINGS
Messages will be publicly viewable.
Anyone may subscribe (for viewing the
dialogue via email by those who are interested -- the gallery). Only RSICC
members and approved guests may
participate by posting messages. [Click
here for sigh-up] These will be given a level of 'moderator' status. (There are a
gradation of privileges within 'moderator' status). Anyone (subscribed or not) may submit comments
for inclusion in the forum, but they will need to be sent through recognized forum members.
Postings even from members are moderated for relevance. Appeals
can be made for declined messages, which in most cases should be sent on through to the list.
Message moderators will be composed of RSICC facilitators
who wish to serve in that capacity, and others who may be approved to that function.
'Calendar events' feature may be viewed by
the public.
